I have known Ben for almost five years, and I can genuinely say that his guidance has been life-changing. From introducing me to the different aspects of theatre to helping me explore several acting techniques, this time has been precious. With Ben’s help, I have been accepted into the performing arts program at Passaic County Technical Institute, and, most significantly, I have participated in the Paper Mill Playhouse Summer Conservatory for three consecutive years. Ben’s incredible organizational skills and passion for teaching translate throughout my performances and help me get to places I never thought possible. Not only can Ben help with acting, but he is also a fantastic musical theatre coach and is always eager to help his students with the more minimized aspects of performing arts. I strongly encourage those passionate about theatre to take advantage of this incredible opportunity and see how far it can lead!

I have all the respect in the world for Ben as a Director. He gave me my first ever title role as Clyde in Bonnie and Clyde and it really gave me the confidence I needed to take my talents to the next level. Since then I have booked 3 regional theatre’s and have been called back countless times for national tours and even Broadway. Before working with him I had nothing but community theatre on my resume. Ben took the time to really dive into my character with me and throughout the entire process he was one of the most caring and understanding directors I’ve ever had. Always checking up on me and making sure I was ok. He also let me have a lot of creative freedom with choices I would make and helped me guide those into a finished product. I would work with him again no question and if asked I have nothing but kind words to say about Ben as a Director and as a man in general.

Working with Ben has truly brought me to the next level, his guidance and knowledge has gotten me into a regional theatre production and roles I could have only dreamed of having.

I first met Ben when he cast me in a local community theater show. As a director he was incredibly encouraging and created a warm working environment. His talent as a director is outstanding. He was able to ask the right questions and coach cast members in a way that was authentic and inspiring. I truly could not have asked for a better director. Working with Ben is an experience I will always be incredibly grateful for. Ben coached my teenage daughter through a series of sessions around the audition process. His knowledge of the process and the various materials needed is outstanding. But what is most impressive is his incredibly kind and calm demeanor. My daughter felt completely comfortable being herself and learned so much from him. He cares so much for each individual student and has a calm, yet fun way of bringing out the best in each of them. Ben truly has a gift as a teacher, coach, director, or leader in any theatrical experience.
